Priorities for Southwestern Pennsylvania
ECONOMIC SECURITY
We must create an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected. Too many Americans are working harder than ever yet still struggle to afford housing, healthcare, childcare, and education. I call for policies that raise wages, strengthen workers’ rights, and expand opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs. By ensuring that economic growth benefits working families and communities across the country, my campaign seeks to close the gap between those at the top and everyone else.
A fair economy also means addressing systemic inequities and ensuring that every American has a real chance to succeed. This includes investing in job training, modern infrastructure, and education to prepare workers for the jobs of the future, while reforming the tax code so it rewards work rather than just wealth. American workers are working harder than ever and getting less and less for their effort. This is a result of a decades-long effort by corporate special interests and right-wing politicians to undermine the power and protections of workers.
UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE
America spends more on health care than any other nation, yet we get worse results—shorter life expectancy, higher infant and maternal mortality, more chronic disease, and millions left uninsured. Families are drowning in medical debt, premiums keep rising, and too many people live with the fear that one job change or serious illness could take away their coverage. In the richest country on earth, no one should go bankrupt just because they got sick.
It’s time to guarantee health care as a right, not a privilege. A universal system would cover every American, lower out-of-pocket costs, and make prescriptions and emergency care affordable. By cutting waste and standing up to drug companies, we can reduce costs while keeping people healthier. No family should ever have to choose between paying for medicine and putting food on the table. With universal health care, we’ll build stronger communities, a fairer economy, and a future where every American can live with dignity and security.
REMOVE MONEY FROM POLITICS
We must restore government to the hands of the people rather than powerful special interests. For too long, wealthy donors and corporate lobbyists have held outsized influence over policy decisions, drowning out the voices of ordinary citizens. I call for stronger campaign finance laws, greater transparency in political donations, and limits on the power of dark money groups. By reducing the sway of big money, the goal is to ensure that elected officials answer to voters—not to the highest bidder.
In addition to campaign finance reform, I will emphasize the importance of leveling the playing field so that candidates from all backgrounds have a fair chance to compete. By tackling the corrupting influence of money in politics, my campaign seeks to rebuild public trust, make elections more competitive, and put the focus back on policies that serve communities. Ultimately, this vision empowers citizens by reaffirming that democracy should be driven by people’s voices, not by the size of a checkbook.
RESTORE CONSTITUTIONAL NORMS AND RULE OF LAW
Donald Trump’s second term has made it clear: when leaders trample constitutional norms, our democracy itself is at risk. He’s pushed the limits of presidential power, attacked independent institutions, and treated the rule of law as optional. That’s not leadership—it’s abuse of power. Our Constitution was designed to prevent exactly this kind of unchecked authority, and we must fight to restore the guardrails that protect our freedoms.
No American should accept a system where the powerful live by a different set of rules. Yet Trump has tried to put himself above the law, weaken checks and balances, and erode trust in our institutions. We need leaders who will defend judicial independence, enforce anti-corruption laws, and make sure accountability applies to everyone—no exceptions. This election is about protecting our democracy, safeguarding constitutional rights, and ensuring that no president—Republican or Democrat—can ever put themselves above the people.
REAL GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY
I am committed to ensuring that Washington works for the people, not against them. I saw first hand that much of the federal government is weighed down by outdated systems, bloated bureaucracy, and programs that consume taxpayer dollars without delivering meaningful results. I will work to streamlining operations, cut red tape, and use modern technology to make government more transparent, accountable, and cost-effective. By doing so, it seeks to reduce waste, improve access to services, and ensure that every dollar spent serves a clear purpose in improving people’s lives.
At its core, I will work to make government effective by focusing on outcomes and measuring success by results delivered to communities. Strong oversight of federal agencies, elimination of duplication, and smart investments in infrastructure and innovation would be key components.
RESTORE CHARACTER AND COMPETENCE TO OUR GOVERNMENT
We need leaders who embody honesty, integrity, and accountability in public service. Voters are tired of corruption, empty promises, and partisan games that put politics above people. I pledge to raise the standard of conduct in Washington by insisting that elected officials and public servants act with transparency, keep their word, and put the nation’s interests before personal or political gain.
I will help restore competence by ensuring that government decisions are guided by expertise, evidence, and practical solutions rather than ideology or political theater. I will work to strengthen oversight and accountability mechanisms, and focus on results that improve people’s everyday lives. By pairing ethical leadership with capable governance, my campaign offers voters a vision of a government that not only does the right thing but does it well—delivering effective policies, protecting freedoms, and earning the confidence of the American people.
REDUCE PARTISAN EXTREMISM
We must return to cooperation and civility in American politics. Most citizens share common values—such as safe communities, good jobs, affordable healthcare, and quality education—even if they disagree on how to achieve them. I reject the toxic politics of division and instead will focus on building coalitions, listening to diverse perspectives, and finding practical solutions that benefit the majority of Americans. By emphasizing shared priorities, I am seeking to restore trust in government and show that progress is possible when leaders put people above party.
Reducing partisan extremism also means standing up against the forces that thrive on gridlock, outrage, and polarization. I will support reforms that encourage dialogue, accountability, and bipartisan cooperation, ensuring that Congress is a place for problem-solving rather than political theater. By promoting respectful debate and common-sense compromise, this vision aims to lower the temperature of national politics and deliver results that improve everyday lives.
SMART, FUTURE-FOCUSED POLICIES TO MANAGE AI AND ALTERNATIVE FACTS
I recognize both the opportunities and risks that emerging technologies and disinformation pose to American democracy. Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform industries, improve healthcare, and strengthen national security, but without thoughtful oversight it can also threaten jobs, privacy, and public trust. We need proactive policies that encourage innovation while setting responsible guardrails—protecting workers, safeguarding personal data, and ensuring AI is developed and used in ways that align with American values and human rights.
At the same time, the spread of “alternative facts” and disinformation undermines faith in institutions and weakens our ability to make informed decisions as a nation. I pledge to confront these challenges by promoting media literacy, increasing transparency in online platforms, and supporting policies that hold bad actors accountable without infringing on free speech. By tackling both AI and disinformation with forward-looking solutions, I will work to position the U.S. to meet the challenges of the 21st century while protecting democracy, strengthening trust, and empowering citizens with the truth.
