Reach

The People You Know Are the Best Messengers We Have

A neighbor hears more from you than from any ad we could ever run. Reach is the app our team uses to turn your own contacts into conversations that move votes in PA-14. Download it, join our team, and start with the people already in your phone.

What It Does

Why We Are Asking You to Use It

Reach connects the people you already know to our voter file, so you can see who in your circle is registered, who still needs a plan to vote, and where a nudge from a friend actually counts.

Canvas Any Voter, Any Time

Search practically any voter in the district by name or address and log the conversation, whether it is a cousin, a coworker, or someone you just met at the fair. No pre-cut list required.

Share Campaign Content with Anyone You Know

Graphics, side by sides, and videos from the campaign library, sent through your own texts, email, or social apps, with suggested wording you can make your own.

Grow the Network By Inviting Others to Join Reach

When someone asks how they can help, send them the app with a tap. The invite text and download link are built in.

Stay Up to Date with All Upcoming Campaign Events

All of our Mobilize events, from town halls to canvasses to phone banks, show up right in the app so you can RSVP and bring a friend.

Volunteer Training: How to Use Reach

In this webinar, the Bradstock for Congress team walks through the Reach app and shows how volunteers can use relational organizing to connect with friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and others in their own networks.

You will learn how to build and organize your personal network, find and connect with people you know, share campaign information and updates, invite supporters to events and volunteer opportunities, identify potential Bradstock supporters, and help the campaign from anywhere, right from your phone.

Personal conversations are one of the most effective ways to reach voters. Whether you have five minutes a week or want to take on a larger role, Reach gives you an easy way to help grow the campaign through the people you already know.

Questions

Common Sticking Points

Tap any question for the answer.

Nothing you do in Reach makes anyone's information more public than it already is. Registration status, party, and district come straight from Pennsylvania's public voter file.

When you log a conversation, it lands in the campaign's voter database exactly as if a volunteer had knocked on that door. In practice that mostly helps your friends: once we know someone is with Alan, we stop spending mailers, texts, and door knocks on them. Reach's own policy is at reach.vote/privacy.

Reach hands you the content and the wording, then sends through whatever app you pick: Messages, email, Snapchat, Slack, anything on your phone. The person on the other end just gets a normal message from you, with no app required on their side.

Reach matches against the voter file, so searching "Bob" may miss a Robert. Use the full legal name, and add a middle name or part of the address if the list is long. A first name plus part of a last name is usually enough.

Contact import exists for bulk sends. For day-to-day use, it is easier to search a person by name, or share content from the Library and pick anyone in your phone individually.

If you do import, matching only works when the contact's name in your phone matches their real name, and you control which contacts get searched and whether their phone numbers and emails are shared with the campaign.

Use the browser version at app.reach.vote on a laptop, the app on your phone, or both. As long as you sign in with the same account, your network and your logged conversations stay in sync across devices.

The phone app keeps working without a signal, which matters in parts of our district where coverage drops. Log conversations as usual and they sync when you are back online.

Reach can look through your networks from other campaigns and bring over the people who are registered in this district. Choose the option to import from other campaigns on the Network screen, and it will tell you how many it found before you confirm.

Reach documents every screen at reach.vote/knowledge-base. For anything specific to this campaign, email info@bradstockforcongress.com and we will walk you through it.
